Abstract(s)
ganhos: na gestão das suas emoções; na valorização do outro; na cooperação e na partilha;
This investigation was carried out in the context of Supervised Practice of Teaching, of the Master's degree in Pre-school Education, in the academic year of 2017/2018, in a kindergarten of a Particular Institution of Social Solidarity, in the municipality of Loulé. In the group, several behaviors were observed on the part of children who aroused our attention: difficulties in sharing, cooperating and acting as a team, accepting the separation of their relatives and also hearing and accepting opinions from other children and adults. They also demonstrated difficulties in their level of concentration and attention for the moments of their day, which justified the relevance of providing Yoga activities in order to respond to the needs and interests of children. The investigation was carried out with a group of twenty children, divided in two subgroups: one consisting of 10 children, who enjoyed twelve sessions during the month of November, assumed with the experimental group; another group of ten children who did not enjoy Yoga sessions. This is a qualitive study, whose techniques used for data collection were: direct observation, field notes, surveys by questionnaires to the guardians and also the surveys by interviewing the children and the advisor cooperative. The analysis of the collected data suggests that the Yoga sessions are possible to be concretized in the context of preschool education with children aged 3 and 4 years, having promoted changes in the behaviors of children throughout their routine, revealing gains: in the management of their emotions; in valuing the other; cooperation and sharing; in establishing positive relations between them; and in harmony in the group, besides the interest that the children demonstrated by the practice of Yoga.
