| dc.description.abstract | Dans cet article, nous nous proposons d’étudier le long-métrage Madame Bovary (2014) de la cinéaste franco-américaine Sophie Barthes et de cerner comment il dialogue avec le roman flaubertien, en respectant son esprit et la psychologie des personnages, mais dans une œuvre moderne dont la cible serait plutôt un public plus jeune, après d’autres adaptations à l’écran bien connues. On voit ainsi comment Emma Bovary a gagné sa place parmi les types littéraires les plus célèbres, donnant même son nom à un comportement moral, le « bovarisme », c’est-à-dire l’insatisfaction romanesque qui empêche de vivre dans le monde réel. C’est en effet un personnage fascinant que le cinéma a contribué à rendre encore plus universel. | pt_PT |
