Abstract(s)
As intervenções realizadas na Rua Infante Dom Henrique, n° 2 a 18, entre 2022 e 2023, revelaram, para além de estruturas e espólios romanos e medievais, um conjunto significativo de louças vidradas, em especial faianças e porcelanas pós-medievais, que foram selecionadas para este estudo. As cerâmicas analisadas enquadram-se cronologicamente entre os séculos XV e XX, representando diversos momentos dos períodos Moderno e Contemporâneo. Foram levadas em conta suas características físicas, dando maior importância à decoração, seus métodos de execução e representações iconográficas e estéticas, para determinar sua origem,
cronologia e contexto socioeconómico. Pertenceriam tanto a um contexto habitacional como a um contexto relacionado à indústria piscícola. Foram identificadas peças principalmente provenientes dos centros produtores Lisboetas, mas também peças Coimbrãs, Sevilhanas, Italianas e Holandesas.
The interventions carried out at Rua Infante Dom Henrique, No. 2 to 18, between 2022 and 2023, revealed, in addition to Roman and medieval structures and artifacts, a significant collection of glazed ceramics, especially post-medieval faience and porcelain, which were selected for this study. The analyzed ceramics chronologically range from the 15th to the 20th century, representing various moments of the Modern and Contemporary periods. Their physical characteristics were considered, with greater emphasis on decoration, their application methods, iconographic representation and aesthetic, to determine their origin, chronology and socioeconomic context. These items would belong to both a residential context and a context related to the fishing industry. Pieces mainly originating from Lisbon production centers were identified, but also from Coimbra, Seville, Italy and the Netherlands.
