Abstract(s)
This paper presents a novel electrical machine characterized by full axial and full radial magnetic flux excitation, with potential applications in renewable energy harvesting and sustainable mobility. The design and layout of the machine are presented. A toroidal core armature is used to minimize end-winding length and copper wastage, and it lays within a four-directional permanent magnet structure, supported by a trunk-conical crown arrangement, allowing for the magnets to rotate. Furthermore, a methodology to design the proposed permanent magnet structure is presented. Validation of the machine concept is conducted through finite element analysis simulations.
