Abstract(s)
This dissertation aims to address the importance of play in establishing social relationships between pupils, particularly in pupils with additional measures. Given the starting question: does the game positively interfere with the development of social skills of students with Specific Educational Needs, with additional measures, and inclusive education? The general objective was to understand the role of the game in establishing social relationships in students with Specific Educational Needs, with additional measures to understand whether the game strengthens social relationships and develops inclusive attitudes and values. In order to achieve the objectives of this study, we used a qualitative, exploratory and observational methodology, since we started from the students' actions in their social context. In order to obtain greater certainty in the results, various instruments were used to collect data, namely documentary collection, recording grids, a field diary and the sociometric test. Analysis of the results shows that play is important for children's social development, their ability to participate and establish social interactions, as well as the development of attitudes and values. The students have increased their empathy and social interactions, particularly with the students with additional measures and with other students who initially had difficulties in social interactions, and have become more attached to the class.
