Abstract(s)
O enoturismo tem adquirido uma importância crescente como atividade turística complementar. Graças à sua capacidade de diversificar a atividade turística e ao seu potencial de desenvolvimento econômico das regiões, o enoturismo vem-se afirmando como um setor que promove o crescimento regional, origina lucro, reduz a sazonalidade e favorece um turismo sustentável. Neste contexto, o Algarve, além de ser reconhecido como um destino turístico de sol e mar por excelência, tem uma produção vinícola de crescente relevância. O presente estudo tem como objetivo conhecer o setor vitivinícola da região, caracterizando a oferta enoturística existente. A investigação incide também na perspectiva da procura enoturística do destino, buscando identificar o perfil do visitante das vitivinícolas, suas expectativas e satisfação quanto à experiência enoturística.
A revisão de literatura centra-se na identificação das características fundamentais de um destino de sol e mar, bem como nas características de um destino enoturístico. Procura ainda definir o enoturismo e traçar um perfil geral dos enoturistas. Através da recolha de dados primários, na perspectiva da oferta e da procura, identificam-se os fatores importantes para a atividade enoturística em um destino de sol e mar.
Espera-se que as conclusões aqui apresentadas possam contribuir para futuras ações relacionadas com a promoção e o marketing do enoturismo em um destino consolidado de turismo de sol e mar, podendo os resultados encontrados constituir uma ferramenta útil para as administrações das vitivinícolas, ao auxiliar as empresas desta tipologia de destino a conhecer melhor os seus consumidores, alavancando assim o mercado enoturístico bem como a atratividade do destino.
Wine tourism has gained increasing importance as a complementary tourist activity. Thanks to its ability to diversify tourist activity and its potential for economic development in the regions, wine tourism has been asserting itself as a sector that promotes regional growth, generates profits, reduces seasonality and favors sustainable tourism. In this context, the Algarve, in addition to being recognized as a tourist destination of sun and sea par excellence, has a wine production of growing importance. This study aims to understand the wine sector in the region, characterizing the existing wine tourism offer. The investigation also focuses on the perspective of the wine tourism destination, seeking to identify the profile of the winery visitor, their expectations and satisfaction regarding the wine tourism experience. The literature review is developed in the search to know the general characteristics of a sun and sea destination, as well as a wine tourism destination. It also seeks to define wine tourism and draw a profile for wine tourists. Through the collection of primary data, it was also possible to identify the important factors for wine tourism activity in a sun and sea destination, both in terms of supply and demand. It is hoped that the conclusions presented here may contribute to future actions related to the promotion and marketing of wine tourism in a consolidated sun and sea tourism destination, and the results found may be a useful tool for winery administrations, by assisting companies of this type of destination to better know their potential consumers, thus leveraging the wine tourism market as well as the attractiveness of the destination.
