dc.description.abstract	A cultura é uma referência básica para a compreensão social e política e define a matriz e o suporte da identidade, tradição e memória de qualquer povo e sociedade. A tradição oral de um povo faz parte da sua identidade cultural e é como que um testemunho transmitido oralmente de geração em geração. Por muitos séculos, a oralidade foi o principal meio de comunicação dos homens, assumindo um importante papel na socialização e educação das comunidades, quando a memória auditiva e visual era o único recurso de que dispunham, mas que, devido a diversos fatores, tem vindo a extinguir-se. O design de comunicação tem um papel importante no acesso a esta tradição, divulgando-a e estimulando atitudes participativas, por parte dos cidadãos, para que a mantenham viva. O facto de os designers também trabalharem com a dimensão intangível contribui para integrar muitos dos aspetos envolvidos na tradição oral, nomeadamente, ideias, sensações, emoções e memórias, que são materializadas em diversos suportes com a finalidade de se tornarem acessíveis a todos. Esta investigação teve como objetivo contribuir para preservação e divulgação do património cultural imaterial, mais concretamente a literatura oral do Algarve, com a criação do protótipo de uma plataforma digital que irá funcionar como um repositório de memória coletiva. Através de testes de usabilidade, foram identificadas as características demográficas do público-alvo, assim como foi avaliado o design de interface e a experiência do utilizador, através da perspetiva dos utilizadores. Os dados obtidos, através de questionários, ajudaram a identificar quais os problemas e melhorias necessárias, sendo que a maioria dos participantes valorizou a iniciativa e manifestou que a plataforma é um recurso útil para os interessados nas questões da oralidade. Desta forma, foi possível responder à questão de investigação e provar a hipótese, concluindo-se que um produto digital pode, de facto, contribuir para a divulgação e preservação da literatura oral algarvia.	pt_PT
dc.description.abstract	Culture is a basic reference for social and political understanding and it defines the matrix and support of the identity, tradition and memory of any people and society. The popular oral tradition tradition is part of people’s cultural identity and a testimony transmitted orally from generation to generation. For many centuries, orality was the primary means of communication of individuals, assuming an important role in the socialization and education of communities, when the auditory and visual memory was the only means available, but due to several factors, the oral tradition may perish. Communication design can play an important role to the access of this tradition, promoting it and encouraging the participation of citizens to help in its preservation. The fact that designers also work with the intangible dimension contributes to integrate many of the aspects involved in oral tradition, such as ideas, feelings, emotions and memories, which are materialized in diverse supports in order to become accessible to all. This research aimed to contribute for the preservation and dissemination of intangible cultural heritage, more specifically the oral literature of the Algarve, with the creation of a prototype for a digital platform that will work as a repository of collective memory. Through usability tests the demographic characteristics of the target audience were identified, as well as the interface design and user experience were evaluated from a user perspective. The data obtained through survey helped identify the problems and improvements needed, and most of the participants appreciated the initiative and pointed that it can be a useful resource for those interested in issues of orality. In this way, it was possible to answer the research question and prove the hypothesis, concluding that a digital product can, in fact, contribute to the dissemination and preservation of the Algarve oral literature.	pt_PT
