Abstract(s)
Current Master’s Degree student Luís Miguel Viriato Pinto e Costa, from Faro, Portugal, presents his report regarding his curricular internship experience. This is the report of Luís Costa, student number 29917 of the University of Algarve, currently concluding his Master’s Degree in Teaching of Computer Science, which started in the year 2012/2013. Although most of the knowledge obtained during the Master’s Degree was on the pedagogical end, the technical component was also subject of evaluations and research, mostly during the unit of Technologies Applied to the Teaching of Science II. In this article, the student will report the teachings he found to be of utmost importance to his enrollment in the act of teaching that occurred during the Supervised Practice of Teaching, the last subject of the course. Furthermore, the student will also describe his roles as a supporting teacher while at a school, not only the ones related to classes but also associated with school activities in which the student was involved. A detailed summary of the student’s overall experience and evaluated classes (by an overseeing tutor from the University of Algarve) will also be presented in this report.
