Abstract(s)
The need for modernization of companies in terms of information technologies underlying business success and growth has led to increasing interest and importance of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). However, ICT companies have unique sets of resources and skills that, through different combinations and contexts, and produce heterogeneous performances. In this context, for nineteen European Union countries, during the period between 2011 and 2016, the importance and interest of ICT companies are reflected in the present investigation with the analysis of two three-dimensional data structures. One, consisting of descriptors on the use of technologies, infrastructures, training and exports, and the other with descriptors of the evolution of ICT companies. The main purpose of the study was on the identification of a common co-structure, which would make it possible to characterize the competitiveness between regions, evaluated by the performance and business dynamics, in order to produce a diagnosis, which would help the processes of implementation and development of ICT companies. Thus, the application of the COSTATIS method (Thioulouse, 2011), an exploratory method for multiblock three-way data analysis, produced a hierarchy of influence relationships between the two previously mentioned data structures and provided a decision support tool.
