dc.description.abstractThis paper investigates the impact of information management on telework effectiveness and the role of leadership in facilitating successful telework arrangements within the context of Portuguese organizations. Telework, enabled by advanced information and communication technologies (ICTs), has emerged as a significant alternative work arrangement, particularly in response to global events such as the COVID-19 pandemic. Leveraging data collected from Portuguese firms, this study employs qualitative and quantitative methods to analyze the relationship between information management practices, telework effectiveness, and the leadership strategies employed to support remote work. Findings suggest that effective information management is critical for enhancing telework effectiveness, with leadership playing a pivotal role in facilitating communication, collaboration, and employee well-being in a telework environment. The paper concludes with implications for practice and recommendations for organizations seeking to optimize telework arrangements amidst evolving workplace dynamics.eng
