O frequente desinteresse dos alunos do 3º Ciclo do Ensino Básico pela leitura de
poesia, denunciado por muitos professores de Língua Portuguesa, foi o que motivou o
presente estudo. Aliás a poesia não faz as preferências dos leitores portugueses, em geral, tal como se pode verificar pelas estatísticas de edição e aquisição de livros em Portugal.
