Abstract(s)
Esta dissertação tem como objetivo analisar a relação entre a literacia financeira (LF) e o perfil socioeconómico dos investidores em Portugal. As variáveis consideradas incluem idade, género, rendimento, nível de escolaridade e situação profissional. Os dados utilizados neste estudo foram obtidos a partir de um questionário aplicado pela Comissão do Mercado de Valores Mobiliários (CMVM) com o intuito de caracterizar o perfil dos investidores nas comunidades académicas de várias universidades portuguesas. Para atingir o objetivo da dissertação, foram aplicados métodos estatísticos descritivos e inferenciais, incluindo testes não paramétricos. Os resultados indicam que todas as variáveis analisadas têm um impacto significativo no nível de LF dos indivíduos, evidenciando a relevância de fatores socioeconómicos para a LF no contexto português.
The objective of this dissertation is to analyse the relationship between financial literacy and the socio-economic profile of investors in the Portuguese context. The data used in this study was obtained from a survey conducted by the Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM), aimed at characterizing the investor profile within academic communities of Portuguese universities. Descriptive and inferential statistical methods, including non-parametric tests, were applied to achieve the objectives of the dissertation. The results show that all analysed variables have a significant impact on the level of financial literacy, highlighting the importance of socio-economic factors in shaping financial literacy in Portugal.
