| dc.description.abstract | A C1419 foi descoberta há quase 80 anos, e desde essa altura, tem despertado o interesse dos investigadores, com estes a focarem-se nos estudos formais desta obra. Esta dissertação procura, para além de dar a conhecer estes conteúdos já averiguados, aprofundar a investigação desta obra, focando-se no conteúdo, nas personagens e na geografia presentes nela. Para atingir este objetivo, uma análise, como já foi dito, ao conteúdo da C1419 será feita, transformando-o em mapas e informação, que ajudaram a melhor perceber, não só esta fonte, mas também este período. Esta dissertação olha para a menções presentes na C1419, desvendando os lugares que nela são descritos. Percebendo assim, quais os focos da narrativa, e os lugares ao torno dos quais esta se concentra, como, pelo contrário, onde se encontram os vácuos informativos, à procura do porquê que estes acontecem, e o que estas informações nos podem trazer de novo. Também olhará para as principais personagens descritas na obra, à procura de quem é o principal agente que guia a narrativa. Para além de olhar internamente para o reino medieval português, também procura olhar para o exterior. Utilizando os mesmos métodos, olha também para as menções e personagens de outros reinos e condados, tanto da península, como do resto da Europa, falando ainda de todas as outras menções exteriores a este continente, extrapolando depois as relações que estes territórios manteriam com Portugal e de que forma seriam vistas pelas gentes do Quatrocentos. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Rediscovered almost 80 years ago, the Chronicle of Portugal of 1419, has been studied since then, with a focus on the formal parts of it. This dissertation will focus on, not only restating this information collected by others studies, but also in the content, the people and the geography inside the book. To understanding it better, it will analise, as it was said, the content, transforming it into maps and information, that it will help to better understand, not only this chronicle, but the time described in it, as well. This dissertation will look at the mentions present in the Chronicle of 1419, to unveil the places described in it. This way we will know the main focus of the narrative, and the places that are in the center of the action, and, on the other hand, the forgotten places, looking as to why this happens, and what this new information will bring to light. It will also focus on the people represented in the book, looking for the main agents that lead the narrative. After looking inside the country, we will also look to the outside. Using the same methods we will also see the mentions to places and people for foreign kingdoms and counties. We will look at the remaining places inside the Peninsula, the rest of Europe, and the others places outside of this continent. With this information we will see the relations that these territiories kept with Portugal, and how the people of the fifteenth century looked at them. | pt_PT |
