Abstract(s)
O presente trabalho cujo título é “Análise de Soluções de Eficiência Energética – Caso
Prático do EPIC SANA Algarve Hotel", integra-se num tema candente, tanto em Portugal
como em geral em todos os países da União Europeia, onde os consumos de energia no
sector dos edifícios têm vindo a crescer, sendo por essa razão objeto de preocupação, por
um lado, e de ação, por outro. A ação tem vindo, em primeiro lugar, das autoridades
europeias e nacionais, as quais têm vindo a publicar, desde há alguns anos, legislação
dirigida aos diversos atores da sociedade. Mas ela deve colocar-se sobretudo na
implementação e na fiscalização de medidas decorrentes dessa legislação.
É certo que a redução de consumos de energia representa sempre uma oportunidade para
reduzir custos, tanto económicos como ambientais, mas para isso é necessário demonstrálo.
Mas a redução de custos energéticos deverá ser vista numa ótica operacional, isto é,
não basta apenas reduzir consumos, mas antes reduzi-los sem prejudicar a produção,
tratando-se, pois, de um problema de eficiência energética.
É por isso que neste trabalho procurar-se-á caracterizar a situação energética existente
num Resort da região do Algarve, que entrou recentemente em funcionamento, onde se
preveem consumos de energia elevados e, consequentemente, custos de exploração
também elevados. No decurso do desenvolvimento do trabalho, identificam-se os
processos e sectores energeticamente mais exigentes a partir dos padrões de consumo
observados e com eles ensaia-se o cálculo de indicadores energéticos.
No final do trabalho dispõe-se dos valores de alguns indicadores energéticos globais para
o caso de estudo, que são úteis para a gestão energética da unidade.
This work which is entitled "Analysis of Energy Efficiency Solutions – Case of the EPIC SANA Algarve Hotel" is part of a nowadays topic, both in Portugal and in general of all the EU countries, where energy consumption in the building sector have been growing, and should therefore be an object of concern by one hand, and action by the other. The action has been, first, through the European and national authorities, who have been published, for several years, legislation directed to the various actors in society. But it should place mainly in the implementation and enforcement of measures resulting from this legislation. It´s true that the reduction of energy consumption is always an opportunity to reduce costs, both economic and environmental, but it is necessary to demonstrate it. But the reduction of energy costs should be seen operating standpoint, this is not enough to reduce consumption, but rather to reduce them without hurting production, in the case as a problem of energy efficiency. That is why this work will seek to characterize the existing energy situation in a Resort of the Algarve region, which has recently started operating, where the consumption and therefore the energy costs are predictably high. During this work, booth process and sectors will be identified in terms of more demanding energy consumption patterns and with them calculate the energy indicators. At the end of this work, we will have values of some energy indicators, which are useful for the energy management of the property.
