Abstract(s)
Numa sociedade marcada pela influência global da tecnologia é assumido como
fundamento que a escola tinha, que acompanhar este desenvolvimento, criando formas
de adaptação a todas as transformações daí decorrentes.
A introdução da tecnologia na educação e ensino implica uma mudança radical no papel
do professor e na maneira de ensinar, impondo-se a urgência em reflectir acerca da
escola de hoje e da que queremos no futuro.
É um facto incontestado, que a escola actual enferma de muitas limitações nas respostas
às solicitações do aluno, sendo urgente reflectir os comportamentos e atitudes dos
docentes, no que respeita a processos inovadores que se reflectem nas práticas diárias, e
que permitem que a escola se tome num espaço aprazível onde alunos e professores
partilham conhecimentos, condição essencial para o sucesso educativo.
Esta dissertação teve como propósito fulcral estudar as atitudes de docentes do 1° ciclo
do Ensino Básico relativamente à utilização da tecnologia em contexto educativo, bem
como a construção de um instrumento de observação, que nos pennitisse avaliar as
mesmas atitudes. Atitudes que podem ser influenciadas pelas limitações existentes de
recursos tecnológicos nas escolas ou pela reduzida formação dos docentes nesta área,
que se assume como uma prioridade a ter em conta. O investimento numa formação
permanente dos docentes deve ser assumida como uma preocupação constante e de
grande vontade política, condições fundamentais para uma escola de qualidade.
In a society marked by the global influence of technology, there is no doubt whatsoever that school had necessarily to keep up with progress, creating new fornis of adaptation to ali transformations resulting from it. The introduction of technology into education implies a radical change in the teacheUs role and teaching strategies. Therefore, it becomes urgent to reflect upon our present educational system and the one we want for the future. There is absolutely no doubt that our present educational system has serious limitations in answering our students' needs. Therefore, it becomes urgent to reflect upon the behaviour and attitudes of the teachers conceming innovative procedures that become manifest in the daily actions, allowing school to become a pleasant space where teachers and students share knowledge. This is an essential condition to achieve success. The main purpose of this essay was to analyse primary school teachers' attitudes conceming the use of technology in an educational context as well as the construction of an instrument of observation that allows us to evaluate exactly those attitudes. These can be influenced by the existing limitations conceming technological resources in schools or by the teachers' lack knowledge in this area, which therefore becomes an important priority. Investing in permanent education for teachers should be a constant priority, even politically speaking. Those are basic conditions for a quality educational system.
