| dc.description.abstract | A presente investigação tem por tema as políticas educativas guineenses, especificamente as políticas educativas na Guiné-Bissau, acesso à educação e sucesso escolar, um estudo de caso no liceu Padre António Grillo-Bambadinca, realizado no âmbito de mestrado em Gestão e Administração Escolar da Escola Superior de Educação e Comunicação da Universidade do Algarve. No quadro teórico do estudo realça-se o percurso político da República da Guiné-Bissau, após a proclamação da independência, a base legislativa do sistema educativo guineense, bem como um olhar sobre as questões relacionadas com o acesso e o sucesso escolar no contexto educativo, com enfoque particular na realidade guineense. A investigação tem como objetivo geral conhecer e analisar as políticas educativas na Guiné-Bissau e o seu contributo para o acesso e o sucesso escolar na perspetiva de professores com experiência educativa no liceu em estudo. Procura-se, por meio dos testemunhos dos professores participantes, indagar sobre o tema das políticas educativas e do acesso e sucesso escolar, na realidade guineense, através uma metodologia qualitativa no paradigma interpretativo. Para inquirição dos respondentes recorreu-se a uma entrevista estruturada com questões abertas, respondida por escrito. Após a análise dos dados conclui-se que, devido ao sucessivo incumprimento e adiamento da efetivação das políticas educativas, motivada por constantes crises políticas e institucionais, o acesso à educação não é universal e o sucesso escolar é deficitário, prevalecendo mais o insucesso entre as crianças e jovens guineenses. Os resultados evidenciam também o contributo das organizações internacionais no acesso e na promoção do sucesso escolar. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | The subject of this research is Guinean education policies, specifically education policies in Guinea-Bissau, access to education and school success, a case study at the high school Padre António Grillo-Bambadinca, as part of the master's programme in School Management and Administration at the School of Education and Communication of the University of the Algarve. The theoretical framework of the study emphasises the political course of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, after the proclamation of independence, the legislative basis of the Guinean education system, as well as a look at issues related to school access and success in the educational context, with a particular focus on the Guinean reality. The general aim of the research is to learn about and analyse educational policies in Guinea-Bissau and their contribution to school access and success from the perspective of teachers with educational experience at the high school under study. Through the testimonies of the participating teachers, the aim is to investigate the issue of educational policies and school access and success in Guinea-Bissau, using a qualitative methodology in the interpretative paradigm. The respondents were questioned using a structured interview with open questions, answered in writing. After analysing the data, it can be concluded that, due to the failure to comply with and postponement of the implementation of educational policies, motivated by constant political and institutional crises, access to education is not universal and school success is poor, with failure being more prevalent among Guinean children and young people. The results also highlight the contribution of international organisations to access and the promotion of school success. | eng |
