Abstract(s)
A problemática do branqueamento de capitais, é uma preocupação crescente a nível nacional e internacional. Apresenta ameaças e consequências a nível global, local e pessoal, o que leva a que este seja um dos temas mais analisados e tratados nos últimos tempos. O setor imobiliário não ficou fora dessas preocupações.
Face à atualidade e preocupação que o tema introduz na economia, é objetivo desta dissertação perceber se as entidades com atividades imobiliárias no Algarve (região de risco, como veremos), respondem às novas exigências de combate e prevenção de branqueamento de capitais, previstas na Lei n.º 83/2017, de 18 de agosto.
Concluiu-se que muitas foram e são as medidas adotadas nacional e internacionalmente em matéria de combate e prevenção ao branqueamento de capitais. No entanto a aplicação dessas medidas terá de ser feita por parte de todas as entidades e organismos que apresentem riscos nesta matéria, em especial, por parte das entidades com atividades imobiliárias.

It presents threats and consequences felt at global, local and personal level, which makes him one of the most analysed and treated subjects of recent times. Particularly, in certain sectors of activity, such as real estate. In view of the current situation and concern about the theme, it is the objective of this dissertation, determine whether entities with real estate activities in the Algarve (risk region), respond to the new requirements for combating and preventing money laundering. It was concluded that many measures have been and are being taken nationally and internationally in the fight against and prevention of money laundering. However, the application of these measures will have to be done by all entities and bodies that present risks in this matter by entities with real estate activities.
