| dc.description.abstract | A escola deve ser O espaço privilegiado onde essencialmente se goste de ensinar e de aprender. Este é um desafio que se coloca permanentemente aos seus principais actores (professores e alunos), aos pais e à administração. O professor ocupa o lugar cimeiro de tal desafio, pois ele é a chave do processo educativo. O sucesso escolar depende em grande parte da sua pessoa, da concretização de um método pedagógico, no entendimento com os seus alunos, no cimentar de uma forte identificação e afectividade com os mesmos, pilares importantes no desenvolvimento de uma aprendizagem significativa, de uma motivação séria para O aluno. É o professor que pode criar, ou não, ambientes que permitam aos alunos uma aprendizagem significativa, que responda às suas necessidades e aspirações. Em última análise, a pessoa do professor é um dos múltiplos factores que pode contribuir, ou não, para a motivação dos alunos para as actividades escolares. Deste modo, e partindo das representações dos alunos do ensino secundário (10°, 11° e 12° anos) de cinco escolas do Algarve, procuramos, através da técnica do inquérito por questionário, “ouvir a sua voz”, relativamente às qualidades do professor que os podem motivar para participar, por um lado, nas Actividades de Complemento Curricular e, por outro, nas Actividades Curriculares, e à representação que têm sobre o professor ideal, utilizando para este último a escala denominada “perfil diferenciador” de Villa Sánchez. No quadro teórico traçado inicialmente procuramos fundamentar O porquê da escolha do estudo deste tema - as qualidades do professor e a motivação dos alunos. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | School is meant to be a place where teaching and learning is a pleasure. To turn it that way implies a continuous challenge for its main participants (teachers and students) and for the parents and the administration as well. But the most strongly challenged is certainly the teacher because of his key position in the educating process. The students success at school is mostly influenced by the teachers person, the achievement of his pedagogica] program, by the understanding between him and his student, and by his ability of creating a strong support of identification and a affectivity, indispensable for the development of learning process and real motivation of the student. Its up to the teacher to create an atmosphere that enables students to do good progress in learning, according to their needs and ambitions. The teacher is definitely one of the most important elements that can, or can°t, contribute to the encouragement of students for school activity. So we did an investigation with students of 10th, 11th and 12th form (last three years of high-school) at five high-schools in Algarve, Portugal, we look for, through the technique of the inquiry for questionnaire, in order to hear their opinions about teachers qualities and how teachers can encourage students to participate in Activities of Curricular Complement as well as in Curricular Activities. Furthermore we tried to find out how they would define the ideal teacher, using an evaluating system called “perfil diferenciador”, by Villa Sánchez.
