O setor turístico é uma indústria de grande impacto em Portugal e, especialmente, no Algarve. Este setor tem vindo a crescer cada vez mais ao longo dos anos, sendo a principal atividade económica da região.
O capital humano é portanto, uma das maiores fontes de vantagem competitiva das organizações e por isso, é necessário geri-lo, motivá-lo e incentivá-lo, disponibilizando lhe todas as ferramentas e recursos necessários para que possa contribuir positivamente para o desempenho e sucesso organizacional.
As práticas de Gestão de Recursos Humanos devem garantir o sucesso organizacional através do envolvimento dos colaboradores na estratégia e objetivos organizacionais.
As empresas devem apostar na formação dos seus colaboradores que começa no acolhimento e integração para que o desempenho seja eficaz e as organizações se destaquem em relação à concorrência.
O presente trabalho objetiva descrever as atividades desenvolvidas durante o estágio curricular no Jupiter Algarve Hotel. Mostra também o projeto desenvolvido, que consiste na otimização do manual de acolhimento e integração e na criação de propostas de ação de formação inicial condizentes para os colaboradores.
Salienta-se que o processo de acolhimento, integração e socialização bem como as ações de formação inicial promovem a mudanças nos comportamentos e atitudes dos indivíduos e, consequentemente, permitem às empresas obter melhores desempenhos, mais rentabilidade do capital humano e o sucesso organizacional.
The tourism sector is an industry of great impact in Portugal, especially in the Algarve. This sector has been growing through the years and is the region’s biggest economic activity. Human capital is one of the largest sources of competitive advantage in any organization and therefore there is a need to manage it, motivate it and incentivize it, allowing access to every tools and resources required to contribute positively to its performance and organizational success. Human Resources management should guarantee organizational success by inviting collaborators to involve themselves in the organization’s strategy and objectives. Companies should bet on its collaborators training and focus on Reception and Integration, so that its organizational practice is efficient and stands out among its competitors. This present study objectively wishes to list all activities occurred during a curricular internship at Jupiter Algarve Hotel. It also shows the developed project, which examples the optimization of the Reception and Integration Manual and the creation of adequate action proposals to Initial Training for its collaborators It is important to emphasize that the Reception, Integration and Socialization process along with any Initial Training actions, promote changes on the attitude and behaviour of individuals and consequently, allow companies to obtain better results, better human capital profitability and better organizational success.
