All instruments were validated for the Portuguese language. The statistical treatment of the data was carried out using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 28. RESULTS: The results of the present work do not allow us to find a significant difference between yoga practitioners and non yoga practitioners, however , regardless of previous experience in the practice of Yoga for the participants in the present study, living with a satisfactory Quality of Life means being healthy, physically active, being autonomous, but having good social support, having the opportunity to actively participate in social life and maintain psychological well being. CONCLUSION: All participants in the present study recognize that Yoga can help during the aging process, however, to be able to evaluate the evolution of changes acquired through the practice of Yoga, a larger study will be needed, with a different methodology and a larger sample, more uniform and with older participants.
