Abstract(s)
O presente relatório de estágio do Mestrado em Direção e Gestão Hoteleira tem como objetivo o aprofundar do conhecimento adquirido neste Mestrado e a sua aplicabilidade na realidade de uma Unidade Hoteleira em Portugal. Para ser possível desenvolver este relatório, efetuei estágio no Grupo Hoteleiro – Details & Resort, S.A – Albufeira, com um horário flexível, a fim de conciliar o estágio com a minha atividade profissional.
Neste relatório pretendo realçar a importância da evolução organizacional do departamento de operações, através do conhecimento da funcionalidade e articulação de cada departamento na organização. Propus-me a dividir o tempo de estágio entre os vários departamentos do Grupo Details e assim compreender o seu funcionamento, bem como a contribuição de cada departamento para o funcionamento de uma operação hoteleira.
Este estágio permitiu-me adquirir, aprofundar e colocar em prática novos conhecimentos no decorrer de uma operação de uma Unidade Hoteleira. Não foi um percurso fácil, devido às várias barreiras que não permitiram potenciar ainda mais este estágio. Contudo, no final, considero uma experiência enriquecedora e ao mesmo tempo sinto confiança para um desafio futuro no panorama do turismo e hotelaria em Portugal. Termino com a certeza de que ainda existe muito trabalho a desenvolver na hotelaria em geral, dada a falta de mão de obra especializada, desde as chefias aos operacionais.
Em suma, a não importância da segmentação, da gestão analítica e da gestão hoteleira em si numa organização, leva a entender o porquê do crescimento da procura e a não visualização deste rendimento criado no sector, reforçando assim a existência e continuidade deste Mestrado em Direção e Gestão Hoteleira, para que os seus docentes e discente possam acrescentar valor ao sector.
This internship report, developed as part of the Master's Degree in Hotel Management, has the objective of deepening the knowledge acquired in this program, as well as its application to a hotel unit in Portugal. To develop this report, I carried out an internship at Grupo Hotelier - Details & Resort, S.A – Albufeira, with a flexible schedule that allowed me to reconcile this work with my current professional activity. In this report, I highlight the importance of the organizational evolution of the operations department, which is only possible by having acquired substantial knowledge of the functionality and articulation of each department in the organization. I have proposed to divide the internship time between the various departments of the Details Group, so as to better understand its operations, the contribution of each department to the functioning of a hotel unit. This internship allowed me to acquire, deepen and put into practice new insights in the course of an operation of a hotel unit. It was not an easy journey, with several barriers precluding further enhancement of this internship. Nonetheless, I consider it to have been an enriching experience and thus feel confident for future challenges in the panorama of tourism and hospitality in Portugal. I finish with the certainty that there is still a lot of work to be done - namely a lack of specialized workforce - reinforcing the existence and continuity of this Masters in Hotel Management, whose teachers and students add value to the sector.
