O desenvolvimento da inteligência emocional desde a infância é crucial para que as crianças aprendam a reconhecer e a controlar as suas próprias emoções.
A música é uma linguagem universal e uma fonte de prazer que nos proporciona um misto de sensações e emoções. Por conseguinte, denota um enorme potencial educativo/formativo, na medida em que é capaz de desenvolver nas crianças competências intelectuais, emocionais, sociais e linguísticas.
A música e a inteligência emocional são responsáveis e capazes de construir bases para a aprendizagem.
A investigação desenvolvida neste estudo, de natureza qualitativa de cariz exploratório, visa compreender como o desenvolvimento emocional em crianças de três anos pode ser potenciado pelas experiências musicais. Desta forma, aborda-se e evidencia-se a importância do desenvolvimento emocional nesta faixa etária, bem como da importância da abordagem contínua da música.
O trabalho foi realizado num jardim de infância de Faro, com um grupo de crianças na faixa etária dos três anos, na qual a investigadora procurou responder à principal questão: “Será que o desenvolvimento emocional em crianças de três anos de idade pode ser potenciado pelo contacto com experiências musicais?”.
A partir da vivência de um conjunto de atividades lúdicas, tais como, histórias, jogos, desenhos, procurou-se responder aos objetivos específicos do estudo, a fim de compreender se: as crianças associam determinadas emoções a certos tipos de música; a música auxilia no autoconhecimento das emoções básicas; as crianças expressam as emoções que conhecem através de diferentes formas artísticas.
Como instrumento de recolha de dados utilizaram-se notas de campo, fotografias, vídeo-gravações e as produções das crianças.
Com o desenvolvimento desta investigação, os resultados mostram que as crianças respondem emocionalmente a determinadas músicas e expressam-nas também, a partir de diferentes formas artísticas, tais como a dança e as artes visuais.
The intelligence of the emotional development since childhood it is crucial so that the kids can learn to recognise and control their own emotions. The music it is a universal language and a source of pleasure that got us a mix of sensation and emotions. This discovery as a enormous educative potencial, in the mesure that is capable of developing the intelectual, emotional, social and linguistic competences of children. The music and the emotions are responsable and capable of builting bases to learning. The investigation developed in this study, of qualititive nature and exploratory caracter, aims to understand how emotional development in three-year-old children can be enhanced by musical experiences This way, aproach and highlight the importance of the development of emotion, on this age line, well as the continuos aproach of music and their correlacion. This work was realized in a kindergarten in Faro, with a group of childreens in the age line of 3 years old, where the researcher searched to answer to the main question: “Can emotional development in three-year-old children be enhanced by contact with musical experiences?” Starting by playful-diversified activities, as storytales, games and drawings, we tried to anwser to the especific study objectives, to find out if: do the children associate certain emotions to certain types of music; the music assists in the self knowledge of the basic emotions; do the children express the emotion that they know of through diferent types of artistic forms. As a tool in the data collection we used field, notes, photos, videos, recordings and the childreen production. With the development of this investigation the results shows that the children respond emocionally to certain musics and also express them, from different artistic forms, such as dance and visual arts.
