Abstract(s)

APS-R is one of the most frequently used instruments for assessing perfectionism worldwide and has structural validity and adequate internal consistency in a variety of cultures. The total sample consisted of 105 young adults, mostly of Portuguese nationality, of both genders (79% women and 21% men), aged between 18 and 30 years (M = 23,61, SD = 2,934. Participants completed a Sociodemographic Questionnaire and two assessment measures of perfectionism. Overall, the results reflected good psychometric properties. This instrument obtained a satisfactory internal consistency value (Cronbach's alpha = ,89). Regarding the Confirmatory Factor Analysis performed, the model tested in the present sample revealed an acceptable adjustment. The APS-R is a reliable and valid instrument for the study of perfectionism in Portugal.
