No âmbito do Mestrado em Turismo, o presente trabalho procura expressar a experiência
profissional adquirida ao longo de 26 anos, no setor do transporte aéreo, através da
caracterização das funções desempenhadas e procedimentos adotados nas diversas empresas na
qual prestou serviço.
Com a finalidade de comprovar a aquisição e consolidação de conhecimentos alicerçados na
academia, através da realização de diferentes tarefas efetivadas desde o ano de 1994 nas
empresas TAP Air Portugal, Groundforce, Jet2.com e Groundlink.
Numa primeira fase, enquadra-se a importância dos setores do turismo e Transporte
Aéreo para o desenvolvimento da economia e o desafio sem precedentes que enfrentam face à
pandemia Covid-19.
Em seguida, procede-se à caracterização e reflexão crítica das empresas e das respetivas
tarefas desempenhadas na área de passageiros, nomeadamente nos departamentos, HOC
(Handling Operation Center), Supervisão e Formação na TAP Air Portugal e Groundforce,
devido à aprofundada ligação contratual.
A metodologia aplicada consiste numa investigação bibliográfica aprofundada, aliada a
diversas fontes, por forma a uma melhor contextualização do setor e clarificação sobre o
desenvolvimento operacional das funções descritas em cada empresa.
Este trabalho procura entender o contexto atual do turismo, em particular o transporte
aéreo, na clarificação do funcionamento das organizações mencionadas, por forma a dar o seu
contributo à academia.
In the scope of the Master´s degree in Tourism, this work aims to express the professional experience acquired over 26years, in the air transport sector, through the characterization of the functions performed and procedures adopted in the various companies in which it provided service. In order to prove the acquisition and consolidation of knowledge based on the academy, through the performance of different tasks carried out since 1994 in TAP Air Portugal, Groundforce, Jet2.com and Groundlink. In a first phase, it is part of the importance of the Tourism and Air Transport sectors for the development of the economy and the unprecedent challenge they face due to Covid-19 pandemic. Next, the companies and their tasks performed in the passenger area are characterized and critically thought, in particular in the departments, HOC (Handling Operation Center), Supervision and Training at TAP Air Portugal and Groundforce, due to the in-depth contractual connection. The applied methodology consists of an in-depth bibliographic research, combined with several sources, in order to better contextualize the sector and clarify the operational development of the functions described in each company.
