Este trabalho teve como objecto de análise uma das formas de expressão da cultura Hip Hop, mais especificamente o «tag». Visa-se compreender que tipo de linguagem e que processos de significação estão subjacentes a este tipo de figuração urbana. Sendo esta uma actividade predominante, senão mesmo, exclusiva do sexo masculino e manifestando-se, sobretudo, activamente na fase crítica de um dos principais
processos do desenvolvimento humano - a adolescência.
This thesis is essentially concerned with the analysis of the «tag», one of the main forms of expression to the Hip Hop culture and is directed towards a comprehensive explanation of lhe type of language, as well as significance processes, underlying this type of urban depiction. Predominantly, if not exclusively, a male activity, the «tag» is usually performed during adolescence, one of the most critical phases in the human development.
