Considering the considerable increase in research on well-being and self-efficacy in recent decades and given the importance of school experience in its future experiences (Marturano ,1997). The aim of this study was to evaluate the association between self-efficacy and satisfaction with the student's life and academic performance, as well as to evaluate the variance of results in these psychological variables according to gender, age and rural or urban context of the educational establishment. A sample of 168 children aged 8 to 15 years old (M = 10.14; SD = 1.26) who were attending the 4th and 6th grades and attending several schools located in the council of Faro in the academic year 2018/2019. In order to evaluate life satisfaction, the Multidimensional Life Satisfaction Scale for children (EMSVC, Giacomoni & Hutz, 2008) was used, and the Self Efficacy Questionnaire for Children (SEQ-C) created by Peter Muris (2001) and was translated and adapted by Nogueira (2008). The students' academic performance was collected in a questionnaire. The results suggest that self-efficacy is positively related to students' academic performance, however, satisfaction with life was not clearly manifested as one of the variables directly related to school performance.
