| dc.description.abstract | Este trabalho investiga os determinantes da estrutura de capital de 159 PME portuguesas do distrito de Faro pertencentes à indústria hoteleira. Os resultados da análise de dados em painel de 2009-2013 sugerem uma maior aderência à teoria da pecking-order. A informação financeira foi obtida através da base de dados Amadeus. A técnica estatística utilizada no estudo é a regressão linear múltipla de dados em painel. Os resultados obtidos mostram que as variáveis rendibilidade, crescimento e idade são determinantes da estrutura de capital. Por sua vez, as variáveis dimensão, tangibilidade e poupança fiscal não associada ao endividamento não revelaram afetar o nível de dívida das empresas investigadas. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | This work investigates the determinants of the capital structure of 159 Portuguese small and medium-sized enterprises in the district of Faro belonging to the hotel industry. The results of the analysis of panel data for 2009-2013 suggest the pecking-order theory. The financial information was obtained through the database Amadeus. The statistical technique used in the study is the linear regression of panel data. The results obtained show that the factors size, tangibility and non-debt tax-shields are not determinants of the capital structure of hotel industry of Algarve while the profitability, growth and age are determinants. | pt_PT |
