A necessidade de organização e de acesso aos dados e informação que se produz é importante para tornar qualquer processo e tarefa mais eficiente e célere. Com esse intuito o Centro de Cartografia da Empresa de Desenvolvimento e Infra-estruturas do Alqueva, S.A. (EDIA) considerou pertinente criar um repositório de dados produzidos. O acesso aos dados pode ser feito através de um geoportal ou por aplicações desktop através de serviços web (WMS e WFS).
O presente relatório apresenta, de forma detalhada, a descrição das tarefas executadas durante o estágio realizado no Centro de Cartografia da EDIA S.A, com a finalidade de reunir e organizar a informação a disponibilizar através de uma infraestrutura de dados espaciais aos utilizadores do Centro de Cartografia supracitado.
