O presente relatório visa refletir o cumprimento do estágio no grupo AP Hotels & Resorts no âmbito do Mestrado em Direção e Gestão Hoteleira da Escola Superior de Gestão, Hotelaria e Turismo da Universidade do Algarve.
Este aborda a temática da comunicação interdepartamental e a sua influência na gestão e sucesso das organizações, tendo como caso de estudo, o grupo hoteleiro AP Hotels & Resorts.
O relatório tem como finalidade comprovar a aprendizagem da discente no processo de realização de tarefas decorrentes nos anos 2018 e 2019 em diversos departamentos das unidades hoteleiras Adriana Beach Hotel Resort e Eva Senses Hotel (05 de novembro de 2018 a 30 de maio de 2019), resultando na aquisição e evolução de conhecimentos e capacidades na área operacional e estratégica da indústria hoteleira, complementada pela área teórica do mestrado.
O estágio realizado teve como foco a passagem por vários departamentos – nomeadamente reservas, restauração, housekeeping, cozinha, eventos e direção operacional – por forma a melhorar o conhecimento acerca dos mesmos, perceber a existência ou carência de comunicação interdepartamental e assim, interligar a sua influência na gestão e sucesso da organização.
Assim, o estágio teve como objetivo consolidar o conhecimento da discente, entender metodologias operacionais, verificar possíveis falhas e dificuldades, propor possíveis sugestões de melhoria, procurar desafios e de modo geral, entender melhor o funcionamento e gestão de unidades hoteleiras de quatro estrelas, com base na sua realidade, por forma a atingir e alcançar o sucesso organizacional.
This report aims to reflect the completion of internship in the group AP Hotels & Resorts within the framework of the Master’s Degree in Hospitality Management in Superior School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, in the University of the Algarve. This addresses the issue of interdepartmental communication and their influence in the management and success of organizations, having as a case study, the AP Hotels & Resorts. The report is intended to prove the learning of students in the process of performing tasks arising in the year 2018 and 2019 in various departments of hotel units Adriana Beach Hotel Resort and Eva Senses Hotel, resulting in the acquisition and development of knowledge and skills in the operational and strategic area of industry chain, complemented by theoretical area of the masters. The stage performed had as its focus the passage by various departments - in particular reservations, catering, housekeeping, kitchen, events and operational management - in order to improve the knowledge about the same, perceive the existence or lack of interdepartmental communication and thus linking its influence in the management and success of the organization. Thus, the stage was aimed to increase the knowledge of the students, understand operating methodologies, check for possible failures and difficulties, to propose possible suggestions for improvement, seek challenges and generally, to better understand the operation and management of a four-star hotel units, based on their reality, so as to reach and achieve organizational success.
