Abstract(s)
Face à rápida turbulência tecnológica, o mundo empresarial está agitado e em constante
mudança. Novos modelos de gestão, novas condições de trabalho, novas políticas e
culturas organizacionais são induzidas aos trabalhadores.
As exigências e as pressões extraordinárias sobre os trabalhadores, desenvolveram a
questão da saúde mental e, em particular, a síndrome de Burnout. Desta forma, é
fundamental conhecer os fatores relacionados, as consequências em contexto pessoal e
profissional e as estratégias para prevenir o aparecimento e/ou desenvolvimento da
síndrome.
O presente trabalho, teve como principal objetivo a análise do Burnout na Associação
Humanitária dos Bombeiros Voluntários de Alcoutim (AHBVA), averiguando a
dimensão dos níveis de Burnout e analisando se estes constructos diferem em função das
variáveis sociodemográficas e socioprofissionais. A avaliação dos níveis de Burnout no
local de trabalho foi feita através da escala de medida de Burnout de Shirom Melamed
(MBSM), versão Portuguesa (Gomes, 2012).
Na investigação, os resultados obtidos permitiram identificar que, de acordo com a escala
utilizada, os colaboradores da AHBVA, na sua generalidade, não apresentam valores
significativos da síndrome de Burnout.
Facing the fast and turbulent evolution on the technology fields, the business world presents itself agitated and in constant change. At the same time, new management modules, new working concepts, new working politics and organizational cultures are presented to everyday workers. The additional requirements and work pressure have brought up a bigger discussion about mental health and, specially, about the Burnout syndrome. Therefore, it’s c to understand the related factors, the consequences in personal and professional context, as well as the strategies to prevent the appearance and development of this syndrome. This research had, as its main goal, the Burnout syndrome analysis of the workers at Associação Humanitária dos Bombeiros Voluntários de Alcoutim (AHBVA), targeting to understand the levels of Burnout and explore if that have nearly any type of evolution, regarding the socio-demographic and socio-professional variables. To calculate the Burnout levels, I used the the “Bournout” scale of Shirom Melamed (MBSM), Portuguese version (Gomes, 2012). With the conclusion of the investigation and according to the Burnout scale, it was possible to identify that, in general, the AHBVA workers didn’t showed values that detected Burnout syndrome.
