Abstract(s)
As they find themselves in a critic phase of development, children and teenagers, are more emotionally and socially vulnerable towards the pandemic effects and have a bigger predisposition to develop mental perturbations. This investigation set out to explore to what extent the way adults lived the pandemic and social isolation situation and the emotional effect that may have had on the children at their care. There was a total of 170 people who participated in this study: 85 children from 6 to 14 years old, majority females and 85 adults, children relative’s, between 30 and 54 years old, majority females. Through Google Forms, the children’s reply to a evaluation protocol compound by a Quiz of sociodemographic data, Centre for Epidemiological Studies Depression Scale for Children (CES-DC) and the Multidimensional of Anxiety Scale for Children (MASC). The relative’s responded to the Quiz of sociodemographic data and to the Quiz of Mental Health for the Covid-19 Pandemic (CoPaQ). With the resource of Statistic Package of Social Science Program (SPSS-c25), firstly took place a descriptive analysis of the sociodemographic variables of the participants and the instruments nominals variables. Alpha calculation of Cronbach was produce for the analysis of internal consistency for each instrument used, on a total, scales and subscales levels. To analyze the association between the variables of both groups, the Pearson correlation coefficient calculation was used. The final results of this study reflect on a proper management by the children relative’s regarding the conflicts and problematics issues, that may adverse from Covid-19 pandemic, during confinement. Still it is noticed that the levels of symptomatology depression and children anxiety is low.
