Resumo(s)

Grounded in the career construction model of adaptation, this study examines the relationship between personality traits and online proactive career behaviors among higher education students (N = 299), focusing on the mediating role of career adaptability. Structural equation modeling through path analysis was used to test (in)direct effects. Results show that personality traits are differentially associated with online proactive behaviors. Career adaptability partially mediates these relationships as key resource to adaptive actions in digital contexts. By clarifying how personal dispositions and adaptability interact in digital contexts, the study supports the development of online career intervention practices in higher education. Practical implications are also discussed.
