Um passo a seguir ao outro: Criação e reflexão artística é uma investigação sobre o trabalho artístico que produzi desde os anos de 2010 até aos dias de hoje. Com esta pesquisa pretende-se mostrar como o trabalho realizado se relaciona entre os eixos artístico e político, eixos que alimentam todo o processo de criação e que está patente, nomeadamente, nas abordagens artística e teórica, propriamente ditas. Na presente fundamentação, recorremos a um conjunto de obras, esboços e apontamentos realizados nas últimas duas décadas, com o intuito de poder, deste modo, explicitar quais as preocupações patentes no trabalho, entrecruzando-as com o mundo e a sua direção, advindo daí o título que dá o mote a esta reflexão. Um passo a seguir ao outro pretende, assim, mostrar como a produção realizada têm quase sempre como base o “outro” e necessariamente as infinitas possibilidades de como o ser humano e o mundo são explorados/examinados. Deseja-se apresentar, deste modo, os métodos, motivações e processos de criação utilizados nos diversos caminhos percorridos.
One Step After the Other: Artistic Creation and Reflection is an investigation of my artistic work from 2010 to the present day. With this research, I aim to demonstrate how my work connects art and politics and how this relationship underpins and fuels my entire creative process, as well as my artistic and theoretical approaches. To support and substantiate this reflection, I draw upon works, sketches, and notes made by me over these years, with the goal of clarifying my concerns and those of my work regarding the world and its direction, which inspired the title that sets the tone for this reflection. One Step After the Other seeks to show how my creative process is always grounded in the other, and the infinite possibilities of how humanity and the world are explored. I intend to present the methods, motivations, and creative processes I have used throughout the various paths I have taken.
