Abstract(s)
a ocorrência do incêndio, identificar rapidamente a área ardida.
The work project developed comes within the scope of the Master's Degree in Geomatics to obtain a master's degree. Its objective is to create a tool in Python with a graphical interface, which allows a quick way to map burned areas at municipal level based on images from Sentinel-2 multispectral satellites, with a resolution of 10 meters. By creating this tool, it is intended that the Forestry Technical Offices (GTF - Gabinetes Técnico Florestais), the Municipal Civil Protection Services (SMPC - Serviços Municipais de Proteção Civil), the Institute for Conservation of Nature and Forests (ICNF - Instituto da Conservação da Natureza e das Florestas), and other institutions, can in a short period of time, after the fire has occurred, quickly identify the burned area. In this way, the member institutions will have more data to earlier start planning and intervening in the burned areas, in order to improve the resilience of territory.
