No âmbito do Mestrado em Direção e Gestão Hoteleira na Escola Superior de Gestão, Hotelaria e Turismo foi realizado o presente relatório de estágio. O mesmo aborda o departamento de compras de uma unidade hoteleira de cinco estrelas (Hotel Arts Barcelona), mais concretamente as funções e tarefas desempenhadas ao longo do estágio curricular. Este relatório incide numa revisão de literatura que enverga sobre a comunicação interna e a gestão de compras numa unidade hoteleira. O objetivo principal centrou-se em compreender de que forma a comunicação interna num hotel influencia os resultados da empresa, focando-se em solucionar eventuais lacunas no sistema de gestão implementado. Para tal foi utilizada a metodologia qualitativa no sentido de obter uma perspetiva mais próxima da realidade.
No final do relatório foi possível entender que a comunicação interna se apresenta como um pilar na estrutura de uma unidade hoteleira pela importância que assume na obtenção de melhores resultados e da criação de um entorno laboral mais eficiente. Foi ainda possível verificar que o sistema de gestão utilizado por um hotel influencia diretamente o tipo de comunicação interna.
Within the scope of the Master in Hotel Management at the Escola Superior de Gestão, Hotelaria e Turismo, this internship report was produced. The same focuses on the purchasing department of a five-star hotel (Hotel Arts Barcelona), more specifically on the functions and tasks performed during the curricular internship. This report focuses on a literature review that deals with internal communication and purchasing management in a hotel unit. The main objective focused on understanding how internal communication in a hotel influences the company's results, focusing on solving possible gaps in the implemented management system. For this purpose, a qualitative methodology was used to obtain a perspective closer to reality. At the end of the report, it was possible to understand that internal communication is presented as a pillar in the structure of a hotel unit due to the importance it assumes in obtaining better results and creating a more efficient work environment. It was also possible to verify that the management system used by a hotel directly influences the type of internal communication.
