Abstract(s)
Neste sentido, a aplicação do método
The accommodation and catering services sector and the arts, entertainment and recreation companies are closely related to tourism and, in this context, gain increasing relevance in the economy of any country. The paradigm shifts in economic, social and human development, which integrate new cultural and creative dimensions, have increasingly contributed to the construction of a broader view of culture, where different characteristics are shared, value systems, traditions and consumption models. This investigation focused on a diagnosis of the macroeconomic behaviour of nineteen European Union countries, their levels of economic, social and human development and the dynamics of accommodation, catering, arts, entertainment and recreation companies, with the aim of contributing with more detailed information, in order to assist the business management process. Thus, two three-dimensional data structures were considered, for the period between 2011 and 2016, one containing descriptors related to the evolution of economic growth, social and human development in the countries and the other formed by descriptors of the dynamics of accommodation, food, art, entertainment and recreation companies. The purpose was capturing a common co-structure that would allow characterizing the relationship between the two structures. In this sense, the application of the COSTATIS method (Thioulouse, 2011), a multivariate exploratory method of analysis of Three-Way Multiblock data, not only evidenced the influence between the two structures but also allowed to identify possible strategies to support the decision.
