Abstract(s)
The research aimed to investigate and analyze the processes, poetics, methodologies, strategies and devices used in videodance creation, as well as to verify and analyze the relationship between videodance and urban space in the city of Cataguases (Minas Gerais, Brazil). It questions that aesthetic and methodological processes generated the products, videodances, which are fundamental in our digital age, since they contribute not only in the processes of creation, but also in the artistic diffusion, resulting in visibility and sustainability. The method adopted was practice-based research (Candy & Edmonds, 2010; Candy, 2006; Scrivener, 2000), a methodological proposal for research in art, which draws from practice as a research in which theory and practice always dialogue. In the methodology was developed a creative process in videodance, with dancers and researchers of the city. As a result of the research, four videodances were produced, and we highlight that among the strategies of creation, we had the exploration of the urban space through exercises that showed the relationship between dance, video and city, the contextualization of historical and cultural characteristics of modern present architecture in the urban space and the process, as a whole, took place in a collaborative way, a prominent feature in the artistic production in relation to audiovisual works that present themselves in a hybrid way.
