Abstract(s)
A presente dissertação foi realizada com o intuito de se conhecer as trajetórias entre o
percurso escolar e o ingresso no ensino superior de jovens mulheres afrodescendentes.
Dar visibilidade e reconhecimento às trajetórias escolares bem-sucedidas de mulheres
negras, face à entrada no Ensino Superior, é a linha orientadora deste trabalho.
Para a compreensão e sistematização dos períodos em análise, optou-se pela focalização
na transição do ensino secundário para o ensino superior, conhecer a trajetória escolar anterior,
relações familiares, amizades, entre outras dimensões da vida de três de jovens portuguesas
afrodescendentes
Integram o estudo três participantes, afrodescendentes, estudantes do 1ºano de licenciatura
na Universidade do Algarve. Metodologicamente, optámos por entrevistas biográficas por
permitirem explorar diferentes períodos da vida das participantes.
A análise de resultados permitiu identificar um conjunto de dimensões que, em congruência
com alguns dos estudos sobre a temática, revelam a sua importância no processo de transição e
adaptação ao Ensino Superior.
The present research was carried out with the aim of knowing the path between the school career and the entry into Higher Education of young african descents. Provide visibility and recognition to the sucessful school trajectories of black women, with their entry into Higher Education, is the guilding line of this work. For the understanding of this reality, we opted to work with the transition process from secondary school to the entry into Higher Education, because give us the possibility to analyze other areas of the life of the participants, that all combines, have a significant influence in the period in study. The sample is composed by three participants, afro-descendants, 1st year students at the University of Algarve. Methodologically, we worked with biographical interviews because allowed us to analyze different periods of the participants' lives. The analysis of results made it possible to identify a set of dimensions that, in line with some of the studies on the subject, reveal their importance in the process of transition and adaptation to higher education.
