Abstract(s)
This report deals with an artistic research that refers to the Man-Machine relationship, a subject I explored through literary research and body movement. I will report the historical evolution of the performance art for its understanding in this work, and the performance as a medium to translate my ideas into the field of art. The presence of the theatrical language in this project is due to the influence of this in my artistic path, which made me reflect in the line between performance and theater. This line and its inherent issues remain visible in my work, influencing my technique and my questions. The result of this master’s project points to an exercise in theatrical performance, exploring the movements of the organic and mechanical body. In the development of this work, I was influenced by the universe of technology and robotic bodies, encountering issues that were central to their exploration: where does Man end and where does start the machine? What is the meaning of body without a soul? Is not our brain becoming obsolete with artificial intelligence?
