Abstract(s)
Within the scope of Human Resources Management, it is essential that there is a favorable process of socialisation, reception, and integration of new employees. One of the ways of providing a suitable integration and welcome to the new employee is the delivery of a Welcome Manual in the act of admission, this is an essential tool during this process in the organisation. With the objective of constituting a fundamental element for the new beginning of a member, the handbook should contain all the resources that the organisation considers indispensable for the integration of this member in the organisational structure. Therefore, considering the lack of a Welcome Manual, the elaboration of such a manual is essential. The present project intends to consolidate an investigation about the advantages of a communicational tool that allows a favorable process of socialization, reception, and integration of new collaborators in an organization, with the objective of creating a differentiating Welcome Manual - in video support - destined to the company Innuos, with the intention of filling the gap of its inexistence. As methodology two studies were carried out: 1. a diagnostic study with the employees regarding the integration and reception of Innuos and 2. Qualitative analysis of 5 Welcome Manuals already existing in other organisations. The results underline that one of the ways to provide a positive integration to the new employee is the delivery of a Welcome Handbook, by the company at the time of admission. For the handbook to become a fundamental part in the beginning of a new member, it should contain relevant factors - the origin of the organisation to the rules and regulations that surround it - for the integration of the employee in the organisation. The results obtained through data analysis showed that the delivery of a Welcome Manual is understood by employees as a facilitating instrument in the integration process and reception along the arrival to the organization.
