| dc.description.abstract | This essay seeks to analyze the pictorial work of Paula Rego on the basis of two central concepts, namely eroticism and carnality, and thereby establish what one calls an aesthetic of intimacy. With this hermeneutical and critical task in mind the essay does not fail to define the concept of intimacy, contrary to the frequent analyzes of essayists who use it without defining it and giving it its meaning as acquired, and performing the same task for the central concepts, amplifying their meaning and framing them in the general architecture of this essay | pt_PT |
