Abstract(s)
Este estudo exploratório teve como principal objetivo avaliar a perceção do bem-estar numa empresa, a sua relação com o stresse ocupacional e a saúde, procurando identificar as similaridades e os contrastes ao nível dos colaboradores de órgãos de direção /chefia e de nível operacional.
Partindo da revisão da literatura para a abordagem e clarificação dos conceitos mais importantes sobre os temas de bem-estar, stresse e qualidade de vida no trabalho, temáticas relevantes no contexto organizacional da atualidade, este estudo empírico pretende evidenciar como a perceção dos indivíduo sobre o seu contexto de trabalho tem implicações na qualidade de vida e saúde das pessoas.
Para o estudo foi utilizado o método de investigação qualitativa, com a aplicação de uma entrevista semiestruturada a 8 colaboradores com funções de direção e chefia e a 8 colaboradores de nível operacional. A entrevista possibilitou a colheita de dados sociodemográficos dos participantes e a avaliação das condições indutoras de stresse segundo o modelo de Sutherland & Cooper, para compreensão do bem-estar.
Os resultados do estudo demonstraram pela análise da perceção dos colaboradores, face a diferentes variáveis do contexto organizacional, que a empresa Mundo Aquático S.A. Zoomarine- promove o seu bem-estar, com preocupações para a promoção do seu equilíbrio ao nível social psicológico e emocional. Para os trabalhadores de uma forma geral a empresa proporciona condições de trabalho, satisfação e políticas amigas da família, promove o crescimento pessoal, a autonomia na função e nos processos decisórios (com maior ênfase ao nível das chefias), fomentando a relação positiva entre pares, para o estímulo do espírito de equipa e do trabalho de grupo, condições determinantes para a felicidade e qualidade de vida no trabalho.
Contudo, fatores como a sazonalidade da região comprometem a saúde e o bem-estar dos colaboradores principalmente pelo aumento significativo da carga de trabalho e pela política da empresa no recrutamento e seleção de novos colaboradores, que devido à sobrecarga de trabalho não se fomenta e promove o comprometimento com a empresa.
This exploratory study had as main objective to evaluate the perception of well-being in a company and how it is related to occupational stress and health, seeking to identify similarities and contrasts at the level of the employees with management/leadership roles and employees with operational roles. Starting from the literature review for the approach and clarification of the most important concepts on the topics of well-being, stress and quality at work, relevant themes in today's organizational context. This empirical study intends to show how the individual's perception about their work context has implications on people's quality of life and health. The qualitative research method was used for this study with the application of a semi-structured interview to 8 employees with management and leadership roles and 8 employees with operational level roles. The interview made it possible to collect sociodemographic data from the participants and evaluation of stress inducing conditions according to the Sutherland & Cooper model, for well-being understanding. The results of the study demonstrated by the analysis of the employees' perception against different organizational context variables, that Mundo Aquatic - S.A. Zoomarine Company promotes its well-being, with concerns for the promotion of their balance at social psychological and emotional levels. For workers in a general way the company provides working conditions, satisfaction and family friendly policies, promotes personal growth, autonomy in function and decision-making processes (with greater emphasis on management levels) fostering the positive relationship between peers, for the encouragement of team spirit and group work, determinant conditions for happiness and quality of life at work. However, factors such as the seasonality of the region compromise the health and well-being of employees mainly due to the significant increase in the workload and by the company's policy on the recruitment and selection of new employees which due to the work overload does not encourage and compromises the commitment with the company.
