O presente relatório pretende espelhar a realização do estágio no Departamento de Reservas
da UH Fairmont Rey Juan Carlos I no âmbito do Mestrado em Direção e Gestão Hoteleira da
Escola Superior de Gestão, Hotelaria e Turismo da Universidade do Algarve.
O relatório tem como principal objetivo demonstrar o funcionamento do Departamento de
Reservas da UH Fairmont Rey Juan Carlos I, assim como a gestão integrada do departamento
em questão.
Desde o principio, o estágio teve como objetivo o conhecimento da organização,
funcionamento e gestão do Departamento de Reservas com o intuito de absorver uma visão
mais alargada de um Departamento de Reservas numa UH de grande dimensão.
Perante esta realidade, tive a oportunidade de ter contacto direto com outros departamentos
onde desenvolvi conhecimentos mais alargados que deste modo contribuíram para um melhor
entendimento do funcionamento da UH.
Tendo sido o objetivo desde o principio, a total perceção da gestão integrada praticada no
Departamento de Reservas relativamente à gestão praticada pela direção da UH.
The present report is intended to reflect the internship at the Reservations Department of the Hotel Fairmont Rey Juan Carlos I according the Master in Management and Hotel Management of the School of Management, Hospitality and Tourism of the Algarve University. The main objective of the report is to demonstrate the operation of the Reservations Department of Hotel Fairmont Rey Juan Carlos I, as well as the integrated management of the department too. From the beginning, the internship was aimed at understanding the organization, operation and management of the Reservations Department in order to absorb a broader view of a Reservations Department in a large hotel. Faced with this reality, I had the opportunity to have direct contact with other departments where I developed more extensive knowledge that in this way contributed to a better understanding of the operation of the hotel. Having been the objective since the beginning, the total perception of the integrated management practiced in the Reservations Department regarding the management practiced by the direction of the hotel.
