Abstract(s)
The research was conducted with a group of seven children where first a diagnostic evaluation of lexical development was performed to later apply the pedagogical intervention plan and carry out a new final evaluation. This research involved the parents of children belonging to this group, since it was objective to know the parents' perceptions regarding the lexical development of the children. These were receptive and contributed to the enrichment of the present research. This is an exploratory study, which focuses on a quantitative case study methodology. The data collection instruments were: the Lexical Knowledge strand (Part I) of Language Skills Identification Test (TICL), the parent questionnaires and the free time and activity observation grids. Observation grids added qualitative information that proved important in interpreting the results. This investigation took place over five months and this was considered in the analysis of the results. Nevertheless, the results revealed evolution in the lexical development of children and some cohesion between the perceptions of some parents and the results obtained in the Part I of TICL.
