| dc.description.abstract | O presente relatório de investigação intitulado Estereótipos e Igualdade de Género em Educação Pré-escolar, foi desenvolvido no âmbito da unidade curricular de Prática de Ensino Supervisionada do Mestrado em Educação Pré-Escolar da Escola Superior de Educação e Comunicação, da Universidade do Algarve, no ano letivo 2021/2022. O processo investigativo foi desenvolvido numa sala de Jardim de Infância de uma instituição pública, no distrito de Beja. A investigação, que decorreu numa sala com vinte e seis crianças com idades compreendidas entre os três e os seis anos, pretendeu saber se existiam estereótipos nas crianças relativamente às questões de género e saber de que forma se poderia promover a igualdade de género no jardim de infância. Para atingir os objetivos propostos, foi utilizada uma metodologia de cariz qualitativo, descritivo e interpretativo, com recurso à observação participante, ao questionário, à entrevista semiestruturada e à análise documental. Os resultados evidenciam que inicialmente as crianças demonstravam preconceitos relativamente a questões de género, nomeadamente, as cores eram associadas a um determinado género, tal como as brincadeiras. Após a intervenção educativa, delineada para trabalhar a temática com o grupo de crianças, identificaram-se várias alterações no comportamento e no diálogo das crianças quando abordado o tema do género. Estes resultados evidenciam que a intervenção educativa direcionada para a igualdade de género, promoveu alterações nas conceções das crianças, relevando a importância de trabalhar as questões de género na educação pré-escolar. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | This research report entitled Stereotypes and Gender Equality in Preschool Education was developed within the curricular unit of Supervised Teaching Practice of the Master's degree in Pre-School Education of the Higher School of Education and Communication, University of Algarve, in the school year 2021/2022. The investigative process took place in a kindergarten room of a public institution in the Beja district. The investigation, which took place in a room with twenty-six children aged between three and six years old, aimed to find out if there were stereotypes in children regarding gender issues and to know how gender equality could be promoted in the kindergarten. In order to achieve the proposed objectives, a qualitative, descriptive and interpretive methodology was used, using participant observation, a questionnaire, a semi-structured interview and document analysis. The results show that children initially showed prejudices regarding gender issues, namely, colors were associated with a certain gender, such as games. After the educational intervention, designed to work on the theme with the group of children, several changes were identified in the behavior and dialogue of children when addressing the gender issue. These results show that the educational intervention aimed at gender equality, promoted changes in children's conceptions, highlighting the importance of working on gender issues in preschool education. | pt_PT |
